The study involved 40 schools applying the Boxall Profile, a psycho-social assessment tool, across whole classes. Findings from 25 schools include: 26% of pupils were experiencing moderate SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs; boys were more likely to have high SEMH needs than girls; and 10% of children had high SEMH needs.
